Tronics required a formal Incident Response (IR) investigation. TRUE’s IR team isolated the environment and identified the root cause. Tronics depended on a farm of terminal servers connected to directory, application and file servers, all of which were compromised–right down to the employees’ desktops. The reality Tronics faced was that of an environment that was irrevocably compromised, denying them the ability to operate. In the face of such an extensive loss, the prognosis was that Tronics would need to rebuild their IT infrastructure.
